About the event

The PNTRC Short Trail 2026 will take athletes on an 41-kilometer journey through the lush forest trails of Antique, passing through Aningalan, San Remigio, and Sibalom.

The route begins with paved and dirt roads, continuing until Km 6 in Cabladan. After this point, runners transition into single-track trails with a mix of soft dirt paths. Expect a few technical sections, including stream and bridge crossings, before reaching Imparayan Bridge, where Aid Station 2 (AS2) at Km 12 is located.

The course then leads runners through stairs, bridges, and forest trails where the rare Rafflesia speciosa can be seen. This species is protected, and runners are advised to stay strictly within the designated trail sections.

Afterward, runners will arrive at Lake Pako (AS3), a remote part of the course. The route continues along the ridge of Mount Poras, through grasslands and water streams/creeks. A waterfall can also be seen along the way before reaching Mount Apong (Km 25), a major aid station.

From here, runners will proceed through more single-track trails, with stretches of soft paths and grasslands, until they reach Igbaclag Cave (Km 30 / AS5), known for its unique rock formations.

The trail continues through forest sections, passing Mount Opao Campsite, before exiting through the Antique–Iloilo boundary road. Runners will then head toward Danao Lake, where extra caution is needed while passing through farm lots.

After another series of single-track sections, runners will exit at Casa Montero, the location of the final aid station and 2kilometers to the finish line.
